Portillo To Go Fairtrade

Bodega El Portillo, part of the Salentein Family of Wines will have varietals from the award winning Finca El Portillo range available to taste on table 34 at the Wines of Argentina Trade Tasting.

Bodega el Portillo hopes to be the first producer in the Uco Valley to achieve Fairtrade status for its wines. The Fairtrade El Portillo range has been developed especially for the UK market, offering the consumer wines that are extremely approachable with lots of up front fruit in a fresh and easy drinking style.

The 2008 vintage has been produced in accordance with Fairtrade regulations, and El Portillo is just awaiting final auditing and certification. If all goes to plan, the 2008 Sauvignon Blanc & Malbec will be the first Fairtrade varietals released.
