Zuccardi Unveils Sustainability Label

Familia Zuccardi wish to communicate their key message of Sustainability at this year’s Wines of Argentina Tasting, with company President José Alberto Zuccardi and European Export Manager Marcelo Marasco making sure the point gets across. 

The company is committed to environmentally gentle forms of agricultural production, and have strong social welfare foundations. To seed the idea of natural winemaking into the minds of consumers, Zuccardi have created their own Sustainable Agriculture logo (above) which will appear on every bottle of Santa Julia wine from this vintage onwards. It is their personal assurance of quality with care.

The logo will be unveiled at the Wines of Argentina Tasting. Familia Zuccardi and their agents (Thierry's offtrade & Alliance Wine for the ontrade) can be found on tables 89 and 90.

Being the core brand in the UK, the new logo will feature on all levels of Santa Julia wines from the Varietal range through Reservas and on the Santa Julia Organica wines (recently listed by Waitrose). The latest vintages of these, and wines from the other Familia Zuccardi labels, will be available to taste at Lord’s Cricket ground on the 17th September. These include the Iconic Zuccardi Zeta, the superior quality Zuccardi Q range as well as the Malamado duo, and the Zuccardi Serie ‘A’ wines - plus a few surprises!

Since the very first plantings by company founder Don Alberto Zuccardi in the then arid dustbowl of Mendoza back in 1963, Familia Zuccardi has been careful to enhance their environment as naturally as possible. Two generations of winemakers later, they continue their self-appointed role of environmental and social welfare bastion with a variety of programmes in place to benefit the land and the people who work on it. The new logo attempts to communicate this very important philosophy of personal and planet welfare.
